ROBIN: Superdog!

Robin
The most beautiful Golden Retriever, winner of both U.S. and Canadian championships before he was 2 years old, Robin was indeed a prodigy.By 3 he was a member of his breed’s Show Dog Hall of Fame, but his owner, Mary MacQueen of the Salamanca, New York, Police Department knew his talents ran much deeper.
MacQueen bought her first Golden when she was just a teenager, actually taking out a loan from a local bank. She purchased her first beloved pup, Willow, who would trot into the bank every payday with the check to repay the loan in her teeth.Up to the window she would spring, paying the teller and wagging her tail proudly.MacQueen began breeding the fluffy golden pooches and when Willow began to slow down with age, her son Robin was selected for the next chapter.
Robin is a super hero dog as his name suggests.Earning certification in human-remains and narcotics detection, and man-trailing, he began his career in not only looking good, but in doing important police work.In addition to police work, Robin and MacQueen belong to a volunteer search-and-rescue outfit.Robin is also a certified Therapy Dog so when he’s relaxing, he is brightening the lives of those who cannot care for their own pet.
MacQueen laughs goodheartedly at fellow canine handlers when she appears at drug search sites with Robin. They take one look at the expertly groomed, fluffy Golden Retriever and roll their eyes in disbelief. But Robin’s service record speaks for itself. In 2007 Robin and MacQueen participated in 15 school drug searches with anywhere from one to five other K-9 teams from agencies around the state.“Robin found small amounts of dope at all but one school.Only one other K-9 made another find,” MacQueen says.
MacQueen says the only other thing to say about Robin is what a great pet he is.As an ACE award recipient, Robin is described as having an outstanding temperament and an utterly sweet disposition.“Always willing to entertain the crowd, Robin has a real sense of humor, is reliable, trustworthy, and truly “plays well with others!”
